Angela Hook has been a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michigan, for over fifty-six years and takes pride in her community and has served both personally and professionally to enhance the lives of children, youth, women, and families. Angela has a passion for speaking, teaching, mentoring, and helping others to reach their highest potential in life by providing cutting-edge and relevant information that will energize and transform people’s lives.
Angela has served in the Human Services Industry for over 25 years before accepting a position at Lansing Community College as an Academic Success Coach. Throughout her career, she has served in other capacities such as the Ingham County Health Department, Mid-Michigan Recovery Services, Advent House Ministries, Capital Area Community Services, and St. Vincent Catholic Charities.
Angela's educational accomplishments consist of a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Management, a Master's Degree in Human Services with a Specialization in Executive Leadership, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling that will lead her to become an LLPC. After two years of working in her profession, her goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor and launch her own practice Forever Evolving Counseling Services, Specializing in Adverse Childhood Experiences, Trauma and Women Issues. She is a proud member of the American Counseling Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, Counselors for Social Justice, and the American Mental Health Counselors Association.
Angela has written two books on Bridging the Gap between Women and Tragedy to Triumph. Among her many other accomplishments, her greatest one is being a wife, mother, and grandmother, and has made family her focal point. Angela is a proud member of the Tabernacle of David Church under the leadership of Pastor Larry Trice Jr. and Lady Lene'a Trice and has served in multiple capacities. She is currently working with the senior ministry as an Associate Pastor.
