Angela Hook has been a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michigan, for over fifty-six years and takes pride in her community, and has served both personally and professionally to enhance the lives of children, youth, women, and families. Angela has a passion for coaching, mentoring, and helping others to reach their highest potential in life. She began her career as a transformational speaker by overseeing and conducting workshops, conferences, seminars, and global speaking engagements by providing cutting-edge and relevant information that will energize and transform her audience's lives.
She has served in the Human Services Industry for over 25 years before accepting a position at Lansing Community College as an Academic Success Coach. Throughout her career, she has served in other capacities such as the Ingham County Health Department, Mid-Michigan Recovery Services, Advent House Ministries, Capital Area Community Services, and St. Vincent Catholic Charities.
Angela's educational accomplishments consist of a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Management, a Master's Degree in Human Services with a specialization in Executive Leadership, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling that will lead her to become an LLPC.
After two years of working in her profession, her goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor and launch her own practice Forever Evolving Counseling Services, LLC specializing in Adverse Childhood Experiences, Trauma and Women Issues. She is a proud member of the American Counseling Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, and Counselors for Social Justice.
Angela has written two books on Bridging the Gap between Women and Tragedy to Triumph. Among her many other accomplishments, she has obtained certificates in Tools for Handling Crisis Situations, Helping Your Client succeed, and Understanding the Emerging Adult.
She is a faithful member of the Tabernacle of David Church and her most fulfilling act is being a wife, mother, and grandmother, and she has made family her focal point.
